Team Member: Heather Thiry

Heather is a native Idahoan, growing up in Boise. Being so close to the mountains, she has spent time in the outdoors her whole life. She learned to ski at the age of 2, which quickly became her passion. Heather took a short break from the outdoors and skiing to travel the world as a semiprofessional tennis player only to return to the mountains she loved.

Competitive in nature, Heather began road and mountain bike racing shortly after college. She then set out to find a way to make her passions her professions, landing her here in McCall. She has been a backcountry ski guide, a ski patroller, a mountain bike guide and white water kayak instructor, and ran the Sprockids Mountain Bike program in Boise, introducing kids of all ages to the great sport. Heather now enjoys day long mountain bike rides, skiing in the back country and scaring herself on Idaho rivers. She is currently in Paramedic school and training her dog Huka for avalanche search and rescue.
